13’’ wide 5’’ tall pedestal vessel made with much help and love of Marina from 1loma. It ended up cracking and instead of throwing it out, Marina rehydrated the whole thing then laminated it with two ombré colours pink and blue that hug the underside. The thrown foot was then glazed on the piece. It did a little taco fold when it fired. One of the first cane pieces I have ever made and also the awe inspiring fixing methods of Marina make this piece unforgettable. Nerikomi cane is a method of making an illustration using only coloured porcelain and slicing it over and over to have repeats. This pieces only has clear glaze on it.

This piece does have small surface cracks as is normal for most nerikomi pieces, especially this one as it was risen from the dead.

Hand washing is always recommended.

Each piece is wheel thrown by hand and can vary slightly in size and colour from one to the next. Variations are to be embraced by the uniqueness of each piece and the nature of ceramic arts.
